A wig stand helps preserve its shape; a clean satin bag is a thoughtful alternative for travel. Keep lace smooth and avoid folding or stretching it. Never put a damp piece into a closed bag.

Support the roots and detangle in small sections, starting at the ends. Keep products light: a little serum on the ends is often enough, while product build-up can dull movement.
